Air Conditioning Inspections

TM44 Inspection

‘’Classifying opportunities to improve energy efficiency and ensure legal compliance.’’

Air Conditioning (AC) Inspections are a legal requirement under the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), as part of a government initiative to drive improvements in energy efficiency. An AC Inspections Report will highlight areas where operational improvements can be made to AC systems, with the savings identified frequently covering the cost of the inspection.

AC Inspections are legally required to comply with Article 15 of the EPBD.

All AC systems with a combined cooling capacity >12kW need an inspection.

The inspection must be conducted by an accredited Energy Assessor.

An AC Inspection is required at least once every 5 years.

Avoid financial penalties by ensuring your full legal compliance

Eliminate the risk of invalidating insurances or company accreditations (compliance required for ISO)

Improve the efficiency of your AC system through the recommendations provided

Reduce your carbon emissions and cut operational costs Improving efficiency

An AC Inspection Report is a written by an experienced building services engineer and provides several energy efficient recommendations

Reports almost always identify opportunities for ‘no cost’ and ‘low cost’ changes that can be implemented quickly and cheaply

There is often the chance to save large amounts of energy with equipment revision based on paybacks between 2 and 3 years
